A few days ago I saw an end of one of the greatest movie saga’s that was written and directed by George Lucas over 30 years ago and that was non other than “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”
As I walked out of the theater I started thinking about Disney Plus and how they are making an Obi Wan Kenobi TV series. I was thinking it would be really great to have Darth Maul TV series told in the eyes of Darth Maul, because we always get stories told from the heroes side but never from the villains perspective ,and I think having Darth Maul in a series would really give us layers to his character that we haven’t seen in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
I think that the best way to approach his story would be to start from the beginning from when he was little and when Darth Sidious took him to train him to be a Sith. You can also show the events after he got cut in half and how he survived, and it adds motivation to get his revenge. But not only that even in his origin story they can show us how he got rejected by Lord Sidious and for him to go to war against him.
I’ve always found his character interesting ever since the Phantom Menace was released. If your like me and you want to really nose dive into his origins check out the graphic novel Darth Maul Son of Dathomir.
