RUMOR: JAMES BOBIN IN TALKS TO DIRECT RYAN REYNOLDS’ REMAKE OF CLUE

Two years ago joblo.com made the announcement that Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) would be starting in a CLUE remake. Back in 1985 the film was based off of the Hasbro board-game of the same name, and the project is setting its hopes on director James Bobin to helm the film. Bobin is best known for the recent MUPPETS movies, is now in early talks to direct the project.

If you remember Jason Bateman was suppose to direct and star in CLUE. Batman was even suppose to also co star in the film along side Ryan Reynolds he’s had to drop out of both roles due to scheduling conflicts with Ozark, his crime drama at Netflix.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have praised the original film (which was rated PG) as a “wonderful movie.”

but that they’re hoping to let the remake be its own thing.

It will have elements of [the original movie], but it’s important that we don’t try and just rehash it. We want to build on it. We want to take some of what makes it fun and funny, but then we want to do our own thing. It’s about finding that balance. Hopefully we don’t upset the Clue-hounds because there are a lot of them apparently. We didn’t realize this until we signed up.

So are you excited roll the dice with this new remake of CLUE to see if it was Professor Plumb that killed Mrs.White with a candle stick?
