Kathleen Kennedy Confirms Indiana Jones 5 is Happening and It’s A Sequel!

It’s time to crack a whip and fight some Nazi’s, because Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed with BBC on the red carpet at this year’s BAFTA celebration. The story goes that while cruising the scene, Kennedy was approached by BBC, and when asked to give an update about the movie, Kennedy replied, “We’re working away, getting the script where we want it to be and then we’ll be ready to go.” She then went on to confirm, “Harrison Ford”, will be involved, yeah. It’s not a reboot; it’s a continuation.”

Shortly thereafter, whispers about the film’s progress had grown quiet. However, in 2015, Kennedy spoke with Vanity Fair and said that the project was very much a part of their plan going forward.Indiana Jones is scheduled for a July 9, 2021 release, despite facing an up and down hill battle it looks like it’s off to a rather slow start. But fans should be excited that there is going to be a fifth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise, the news circulated that there was going to be a fifth movie in 2008 in and around the time when Lucasfilm had released the oh-so-underwhelming fourth installment. Let’s look back at 2019 when we first learned that David Koepp talking about his contribution to what will eventually be a fifth film starring Harrison Ford as the iconic adventurer. “I’m working on it again. We’re still trying. And I think we’ve got a good idea this time. We’ll see.” Unfortunately, even though Koepp was happy to report that progress is being made, we’ve still got no idea as to what an Indy 5 script would entail.
