Arrow In The Head brings word that Blake Lively is joining forces with Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy to produce a post-apocalyptic thriller for Netflix. Lively will also star in the film, which is titled APOCALYPTIC DARK DAYS AT THE MAGNA CARTA.
The plot details reads like this a woman who must take extreme measures during a catastrophic event in order to save her family.
If the film is a success like the filmmakers want I can see this potently being a franchise for Lively. THE RHYTHM SECTION was released earlier this year with hope that it would start a franchise for Lively as well, but since it made less than $6 million at the global box office that’s obviously not going to happen. Hopefully things will work out better for DARK DAYS AT THE MAGNA CARTA on Netflix.
Blake is producing the film through her company B for Effort with Kate Vorhoff, while Levy and Dan Cohen will be producing through their company 21 Laps. It doesn’t look like a director has been hired yet.
