When it comes down to spinoff TV shows of a show that I love It can be a hit or miss for me. For example I love Sons of Anarchy I tired watching The Myan’s spin-off, I just couldn’t get into it like I could with Sons of Anarchy. I’ll even admit even TV shows that are spinoff of movies that I enjoy I’m really picky about, because I’m wondering if it’s going to have that nostalgia feel to it to where I’ll fall in love with the show just as much as the movie and the show that surprised me was the spinoff show of the Karate Kid Cobra Kai.

The show that I want to talk about is AMC’s Better Call Saul (a spinoff of Breaking Bad) the prequel, which focuses on Saul Goodman the smooth talking, morally flexible eventual lawyer of Walter White, has been a critical hit for the cable network. Better Call Saul has multiple Emmy nominations to its credit and been a true acting showcase for lead actor Bob Odenkirk (LITTLE WOMAN).

Like the saying goes all good shows must come to an end, and I have to say I enjoyed the hell out of this show from the very start of the season up until the latest season. reports that AMC renewed Better Call Saul for a sixth and final season. The closing season will consist of thirteen episodes and is slated to begin filming later this year with a release expected for early 2021. Of the decision showrunner and executive producer Peter Gould had this to say:From Day 1 of Better Call Saul, my dream was to tell the complete story of our complicated and compromised hero, Jimmy McGill – now AMC and Sony are making that dream come true. We couldn’t be more grateful to the fans and critics who are making this journey possible. Next month we start work on the sixth and final season — we’re going to do our damnedest to stick the landing.”

The thing that I envy the most is not seeing Breaking Bad when it first aired on AMC. But thanks to Netflix I got to watch one of the best shows on tv aside from The Sopranos. It’s going to be sad to see one of my favorite spinoff shows go, but at least we have this season and one last season to enjoy it.
